A Cleaner, Smarter, More Effective Facial Toner
With one of the highest antioxidant activities of all known plants, rosemary has been renowned as an elixir of youth and beauty for more than 4,000 years.
Powered by Rosemary CO2 Extract
To harness rosemary's powerful skin rejuvenating benefits, we use an advanced botanical extract made with supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2). This technology protects compounds from degradation due to light, oxygen and heat and produces the purest and most true-to-nature extracts with more sensitive active constituents and greater beautifying benefits.
In ancient Greece, Rosemary was known as a gift from Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty. According to Homer, Aphrodite rose from the sea draped in rosemary near Cyprus some time in the 8th century BC.

On the island of Cyprus, rosemary was used to make beauty preparations at the earliest-known cosmetic factory, dating back to 2000 BC and just 50 miles from the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite.
Inspired by an Ancient Beauty Elixir
Rosemary was first used by the ancient Egyptians to make a beauty elixir known for its power to transform the old to the young, remove all signs of age and beautify the skin. The recipe was such a closely guarded secret it was unknown in the West until the late Middle Ages and by the 17th century became legendary as Queen of Hungary Water.
Like the goddess Aphrodite, rosemary has a long association with the sea. The name 'rosemary' comes from the Latin, rosmarinus meaning 'dew of the sea.'
Elevated by Aromatics
In ancient Egypt, naturally derived scents were revered as the “Fragrance of the Gods” and were often used in sacred ceremonies. For the ancients, experiencing the sweet scent of the divine was thought to heal the soul and even lead to immortality. We believe that natural aromatics are a part of our communion with nature and elevate our beauty ritual into a naturally transformative experience.
The ancient Egyptians most likely knew rosemary as green incense. The Egyptian word for 'green' was signified by the papyrus hieroglyph (wʒḏ) and was associated with the sea, youth and beauty as well as the Mediterranean, known as the Great Green.
